A new UV protector additive is also incorporated in the process of extrusion of the thread to substantially improve the resistance to atmospheric agents such as ultraviolet rays. This UV protector gives a greater protection to the polyethylene and allows a smaller wearing of the artificial football turf fiber; the color is protected for a longer period of time and the fiber is protected if it comes in contact with chemical agents such as the sulphur contained in the reground tires filling, maintaining unalterable its technical characteristics.
