ATRIAL FLUTTER

ATRIAL FLUTTER
MAX Cooling Power, Deeper Lesions - Designed for the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, including atrial flutter, Freezor® MAX is a powerful ablation-only catheter. This 9 French catheter with an 8mm ablation tip was designed to provide maximum cryo performance. It is connected to the same cryoconsole as the other cryocatheters, but its larger shaft
and ablation tip allow for optional heat removal.  As a result, Freezor® MAX creates deeper and larger lesions to treat a variety of arrhythmias.

  • To support sustained growth, one of CryoCath’s chief priorities was to
build its ablation portfolio and, in the process, to increase market
share in specific arrhythmia types. CryoCath had a highly successful Beta-launch of Freezor® MAX in a dozen European centers. We were able to announce that this catheter, which delivers more cooling power than Freezor and Freezor®Xtra, was used to successfully treat atrial flutter cases – the second most commonly ablated arrhythmia. CryoCath believes that this product is well on its way to becoming a best-in-class tool to treat atrial flutter as traditional RF ablation is not particularly well suited to treat the condition.
The Frostline™ Linear CryoAblation catheter is being developed for the
treatment of cardiac arrhythmias such as chronic AF and atrial flutter
that require creating linear lesions in the epicardial space.
